Filigris Works is a start-up software company now based in Augsburg, Germany.
It was founded by Leonid Rudy, who during 1998-2002 was a senior software developer at
TogetherSoft Corp., the creator of a once-leading UML modeling tool called
is completely dissolved into Borland Software Corporation,
which itself wasn't able to survive for long -- see
(We are still alive, by the way!)
During his days at TogetherSoft, among other things, Leonid Rudy was responsible
for the creation of the template-based automatic
in Together, which largely unchanged still persists right now in the most recent versions of
(e.g. see Together 2007 screenshot),
where that antiquated stuff is even mentioned now as one of the key features!
Having found himself without job during the process of the apparent decline of TogetherSoft
and its subsequent acquisition by Borland,
Leonid Rudy eventually realized that the only way for him to continue expressing his ideas
and not to waste his time and rich experience is to start an independent business.
Now, that aspiration is increasingly becoming a reality.
The company purpose is to provide an independent business vehicle
that would allow us to concentrate more on the research and development, at that, less be hindered
by various circumstances and personages essentially unrelated to technology.
The goal is to become a provider of outstanding quality software development
tools and solutions based on radically new ideas, latest technologies and highly algorithmic
content in such fields as data access, retrieval, processing and representation.
We would like to express special thanks to Kirill Schoukin, St. Petersburg,
Russia for his contribution to the product development;
for the web-site design;
Angelika Kirchmeyer at GRAND!N!
for preparing all legal framework and valuable advices;
and Bea Lotz for assistance in organization.
